Hotel interior design: Hotel Artisti in Florence

By Interior Design Master’s student Israe Abdalles.

Why I chose to study in Italy

My name is Israe Abdalles. I’m from the north of Morocco and I’m 25 years old.

Two years ago I decided to do Master’s degree in interior design in Italy. First of all, it was always my dream destination. For that reason, I said: why not make it true by simply studying there? So that I will be able to explore it well, and also because Italy is an amazing place to study interior design. Certainly, it’s rich in history, art, and architecture. As I’m very into hotel interior design I got the opportunity to renovate hotel Artisti.

Florence Design School

I joined Star Florence Design School to guide me on the amazing journey of Hotel Interior Design.

Above all, being surrounded by such beauty can be a huge inspiration for your creative journey. As an interior designer, I have the power to transform spaces and create environments that evoke emotions. Furthermore, I can become the kind of designer who brings joy, comfort, and beauty to people’s lives. Studying interior design can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. It requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to think creatively.

Hotel Interior Design Project

I worked on many projects in Italy. Certainly, one of my favorites was a hotel interior design project, “Hotel Artisti”. It was about renovating an old existing hotel in Florence. The concept was to design each space in the hotel recording to an artwork of a famous artist. Thus, it was a big challenge for me, but a very interesting one. I enjoyed the process, starting from the site analysis to the design phase. Also the choice of every detail (materials-finishings-colours-furnitures). For example, for the reception area, I used travertin on the walls, brass, and wood for the rest. This combination of materials gives a very warm and welcoming ambiance to the clients.
